I'm Dayton Hammon, currently a full-time student at Grand Valley State University seeking an internship in Marketing and Advertising.

Dayton Hammon's Bio:

Dayton Hammon is a full-time student attending Grand Valley State University studying Marketing with a minor in Advertising and PR, as well as Film and Video Production. I'm looking for an internship in Marketing, Advertising, PR, and/or communications, with the goal of establishing myself in the industry. So far, he has created three separate campaigns: an advertising campaign for Noto's Old World Italian Dining, an advertising campaign for Grand Valley Television, and a Public Relations campaign for the GVSU Speech Lab.

  • Assistant Business Manager at Grand Valley Lanthorn

    January 2020 - Present | Allendale, MI

    • Supervised and assisted with a Distribution Team to deliver newspapers on Monday mornings weekly • Operated Microsoft Office and Google Drive to complete various record-keeping tasks. • Recorded the number of local advertisements placed in newspapers for weekly issue • Organized and separated newspapers to be distributed to off-campus locations • Initiated a QR code campaign implemented by Promotions Staff at the Lanthorn

  • Social Media Manager at Grand Valley TV

    May 2019 - Present | Allendale, MI

    • Created and executed a multi-channel advertising campaign during Spring 2021 to increase digital presence, brand awareness, and website/social media traffic. • Worked cohesively as a member of the Promotions Team (which includes a Video Production director and a Public Relations Director) to produce video advertisements for YouTube and other social media platforms. • Analyzed and evaluated analytics on YouTube and Instagram to inform future advertising campaign decisions. • Distributed video content onto the Grand Valley TV YouTube channel. • Maintained and monitored the organization’s social media accounts.

    October 2018 - Present | Allendale, MI

    • Flexible to the needs of the business, such as assisting cashiers during rush periods in the P.O.D. convenience store, filling in shifts that were urgently needed, and taking on any task requested by a manager or supervisor. • Maintained a clean workstation, regularly transporting and cleaning dishes as needed during shifts. • Carefully monitored cash reserves in register drawer to balance register at beginning and end of shift. • Trained in multiple shift positions and helped train other employees in those same shift positions if needed.

Dayton Hammon's Interests & Activities:

Like most Generation Z-members, I enjoy watching funny videos on YouTube and social media. I have a Netflix and Disney+ account I use often. I also enjoy watching gaming commentary for Among Us, and have recently downloaded an online version of Clue to play when I have free time. I also enjoy bowling, going on walks, etc.
